Filming

We did all of our filming in two consecutive days, on the 20th of January and the 21st of January. We had to obtain permission to film in Holten Heath and to also get the keys to the building we wanted to use, and so we wanted to be polite and not take up a lot of their time, so we really wanted to do all the filming we needed in there on one day, which we did manage to do, but it did come with some difficulties.

20th of January

I unfortunately don't have any pictures of our filming on the Friday, but it went fairly well. We cut out all of the pictures we wanted to have on the wardrobe in the lesson before, and then when we were there the first thing we did was turn the lights on in the room we were going to film in so the lights could warm up and wouldn't change during our filming. We also put all the polaroid photographs on the wardrobe and moved the room around so there wouldn't be any distracting things in the corner of the room. This filming, since it's only a small section of the film went well and we finished really quickly, so we prepped Erika for the Saturday and went home.

21st of January

We got to the Cordite factor really early because we wanted to get all the filming done. Things went really well for the first part of the day, we managed to film the end parts, and really the majority of the filming done. I dented my Suffragette flask while making the banging noises, which was sad, but it survived.

And then, my camera ran out of battery.

I thought I had plenty of battery, it had charged before hand. This is an issue I have never had before or after filming this. Usually my camera holds it's charge for about a week. I have no clue what happened, but it happened. Luckily Ellie being the absolute saint that she is had brought her camera as well in case something went wrong, so we did have a camera to complete filming with. We only had a very small amount left to film, but unfortunately the quality difference in our cameras is very visible, and hopefully we can make it look more even during editing.
