Synopsis & Script Second Draft

Synopsis

The story follows a girl who is interested in exploring abandoned places. She decides to go to visit a less explored location, and against her friend's advice she goes alone with only her dog for company. Strange things begin to happen as she is exploring the building and she realises that her friend may have been right.

Stepping back and looking at her pictures then picking up bag.

Mid shot laptop on desk. Girl walks past and turns the screen so we can see that she is looking at a website about abandoned buildings. She closes the laptop.

Walking dog next to fence and talking to her friend on the phone

Girl: I know what I’m doing. I’ve done this before. It isn’t dangerous here anymore. Relax I’ve got Timmy with me

Over the shoulder shot looks out of the tunnel and sees the gate swinging open hears another sound behind her turns around

POV shot light flickers back on and she sees a pristine baby blanket and picks it up

Mid shot dog is scared

Mid shot she starts throwing the tennis ball for the dog

Wide shot

Dog comes back without the ball

Close up tracking it rolls round the corner

Mid shot she goes to investigate

Wide shot dog runs out

Girl: Timmy!

Sighs walks back into tunnel

Close Up

Focus is on dripping water, before being redirected to the girl as she steps in.

Wide Shot Follows behind the girl’s shoulder as she walks into this room, she’s breathing fairly heavily.

Close Up Of girl’s face as she looks around.

The girl hears a sudden crash and she startles, falling over.

Low angle shot

The girl falls to the ground

Cut in

The torch rolls away

The girl looks out, shocked. Slowly, a thick black liquid drips down onto her face. she touches a hand to her face, looking at her fingers.

Cut In Over the Shoulder Shot

Girl looks at the black sludge on her fingers

Mid Shot she looks up.

High Angle Shot (Wide Shot)

The girl looks up at something dripping above her. Slowly behind her, two feet approach from behind her. The girl slowly looks behind her
