Today Ellie and I decided to continue our search for locations, this time by going to the Cordite Factory in Holten Heath. We first found this location on theurbanexplorer.co.uk and at first, it was just one of a few interesting looking places on our list. However, later this one stood out on our list because Ellie knows the owner of the factory, and we were able to get permission to go in and explore. So, that's what we did today.
The site at Holten Heath is really big, which gives us lots of space to place with and a lot of possible shots we could use. There are several different buildings on the site, but a lot of them would need keys, so unfortunately we couldn't go in a lot of them, but there were broken windows so we could look inside.
There were a lot of interesting buildings on the site and there was a lot to explore. The pictures below are some of the places we saw.
Unfortunately, the underground sections that we really wanted to get in to were behind a fence, with a padlock, so we're going to have to ask for the combination before we can come back and explore there. So, we'll be back at the factory for Part Two hopefully next weekend.
